Snows are getting on board with Hayling Ferry service to help navigate their way forward.

One of the smallest ferry operators in the country is now working in partnership with Snows in a recently launched marketing deal.

Snows currently runs 41 automotive franchises in the South of England, including in and around Portsmouth. We are now entering a new venture with reinstated Hayling Ferry service by lending a helping hand and covering the printing costs of tens of thousands of tickets for the service.

In return, the Snows brand and logo will be displayed on the tickets and also in the cabin of Pride of Hayling, which is licensed by the Maritime Coastguard agency to carry 63 passengers and two crew members.

The ferry service, led by senior skipper Colin Hill, has already recorded 50,000 passengers in the first 12 months up to August 2017.

Baker Trayte Marine, which was established 24 years ago and is based at Camber, Old Portsmouth, launched the new ferry service last year due to popular demand. Wayne Sleep OBE, a TV personality and former Royal Ballet dancer, saw the first ferry off with the Mayor of Havant, Faith Ponsonby. The ferry now runs an hourly timetable during the Winter.

Stephen Snow, Group Chairman at Snows', said: “We’ve been the driving spirit for motorists in and around the Portsmouth region for many years and we like to support local businesses where we can.

“Hayling Ferry performs a public service by transporting passengers across the narrow mouth of Langstone Harbour between Eastney Point, on the Portsmouth side, and Hayling Island.

"This great service, taking just a few minutes and starting some 200 years ago, saves commuters and school children the inconvenience and cost in having to detour 16 miles by road around the harbour to get to the opposite side just a few hundred metres away.”

Colin, one of five ferry staff, said: “We’re grateful to Snows for coming onboard with our tickets – it is lovely to see a responsible, trusted motor dealership working with one of the smallest ferry operators in the country.”

Snows wish the whole team at Hayling Ferries good luck and many happy voyages in the future. If you would like to find out more about Hayling Ferry and the services that they provide, you can click on the link here for full details, timetables and fares.

Snows has 41 dealerships across the South of England, stretching from Plymouth to Newbury, and including the Isle of Wight. The Group prides itself on its reputation and dedication to delivering excellent customer service, and is rewarded by the fact that over half of its business comes from returning customers. With Snows, driving becomes an experience, rather than a chore.
