What we have collected

Snows Motor Group Limited (We / Us / Snows) will be what’s known as the ‘Data Controller’ of the personal data you will provide to us for this request.

Why we need it and what we do with it

We collect your personal data to be able to respond to your enquiry. If you have chosen not to receive marketing via email, your email address will only be used to allow us to send you a confirmation receipt that we have received this enquiry. Snows has determined the lawful basis for processing this data as legitimate interest.

We will not collect any personal data from you we do not need in order to provide and oversee this service to you.

All the personal data we collect is processed by our staff in the UK and by GForces Web Management Limited (website provider) in the EEA, and Keyloop Holdings (UK) Limited (RapidRTC CRM).

How long we keep it

The information related to this enquiry will be retained in our systems for 1 year, after which time it will be anonymised or destroyed. If you purchase a vehicle from us, you data will be retained for longer, and further consent will be obtained at the time of purchase.

What are your rights?

In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation 2016 and Data Protection Act 2018, you have a number of rights which can be found at Data Subject Rights. If you wish to raise a complaint on how we have handled your personal data, you can contact our Data Protection Officer who will investigate the matter. Free Servicing

1 Kia high voltage lithium ion battery-units in electric vehicles (EV), hybrid electric vehicles (HEV) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV) are built to have a long life. These batteries are covered by the Kia warranty for a period of 7 years from initial registration or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first (8 years/100,000 miles for EV models registered from 01/01/2024). For low voltage batteries (48V and 12V) in mild-hybrid electric vehicles (MHEV), the Kia warranty covers a period of 2 years from initial registration regardless of mileage. For EVs and PHEVs only, Kia guarantees a 70% capacity of the battery. Capacity reduction for the battery in HEV and MHEV is not covered by the warranty. Apple CarPlay™ is available for iPhone 5 or newer models. Both systems feature voice control and allow the driver to keep their hands on the wheel and eyes on the road ahead at all times. Apple CarPlay™ is a trademark of Apple Inc. Android Auto™ and other marks are trademarks of Google Inc.

5 Information and control service for your Kia from your smartphone; the Services are available free of charge for a period of seven years commencing on the day the vehicle is sold to the first owner of the vehicle, i.e. the point in time the initial purchase agreement becomes effective, and may be subject to change during that period. Details of operation and terms of use can be obtained on your Kia Connect app. Smartphone with iOS or Android operating system and mobile phone contract with data option necessary incurring additional cost.

6 Wireless charging compatible with phones featuring Qi technology or adapter.

7 Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) is an assistance system and does not relieve the driver from their responsibility to safely operate the vehicle at any time. The driver still has to adapt their driving behaviour to their personal driving capabilities, to the legal requirements and to the overall road and traffic conditions. FCA is not designed to drive the vehicle autonomously. For further information, please refer to the owner’s manual.

(2) Over-the-Air updates

For new vehicles sold from May 2021, Kia offers, per vehicle, two free-of-charge updates of the maps in the vehicle’s navigation system and of the Head Unit software using the so-called “over-the-air” method (“OTA Updates”). Once the two free-of-charge OTA Updates have been consumed, you will be able to get updates of the maps in the vehicle’s navigation system and of the Head Unit software only (i) by accessing the following web page https://update.kia.com/EU/E1/Main or (ii) at a dealership.
