Displaying a more purposeful design thanks to an updated tiger-nose grille and chrome-effect surrounds, the new Kia Picanto’s sweeping shape has an overall more wider and stable appearance with redesigned headlamps also now featuring LED daytime running lights.
Depending on the trim level you go for, the new Picanto’s seats will be upholstered in black cloth or synthetic leather whilst the interior is finished with black, silver or gloss black highlights to offer a more contemporary, high-quality look and feel.
Customisation is also a huge new part of the upgraded new Kia Picanto with a choice of 10 vibrant paint finishes to choose from and two new aluminium alloy wheel styles: a 16-spoke, 14” design or a two-tone diamond-cut 16” alloy wheel. The possibilities are almost endless!
A new UVO system is also available with the new Kia Picanto offering live traffic information, fuel prices, and details of nearby parking including price and availability. The UVO smartphone app enables owners to access a host of functions and features remotely such as where you parked the car or viewing vehicle reports and diagnostic notifications. In addition, the new Picanto will be the first Kia to offer ‘Phase II’ technology however specific details are yet to be announced.
Drivers will also benefit from a hi-res, 4.1-inch digital instrument cluster display showing important driving data such as your typical speedometer and navigation system.
The new Picanto will be the first Kia model to benefit from a new Automated Manual Transmission (AMT). This is based on a five-speed manual transmission with a single dry clutch to provide drivers with a more cost-effective option for those who favour convenience and ease-of-use of an automatic transmission but without sacrificing the fuel efficiency of a conventional manual transmission.
Depending on the specification, the new Picanto is available with the following ADAS: Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance, Lane Keeping Assist, Driver Attention Warning, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance, Emergency Stop Signal System, Hill-Start Assist Control.
The new Kia Picanto is also fitted with up to seven airbags and features ISOFIX child-seat anchor points.
