Interior The new Countryman’s cabin is more sumptuous than before, and overall build quality is of a very high standard. There’s more space for passengers in both compartments, and sliding and reclining seats enable the owner to calibrate the balance between cabin space and boot volume perfectly. The vehicle now provides a minimum boot capacity of 450 litres (100 litres bigger than previously), which can be expanded to 1,309 litres with rear seats folded.
Technology and Safety The new Countryman comes with a multifunction steering wheel, a 6.5-inch colour display screen, DAB tuner and MINI Boost radio. MINI Connected and MINI navigation are featured too. Among the vehicle’s range of safety features are Active Cruise Control, rear Park Distance Control, Tyre Pressure Monitoring and ISOFIX child-seat fixtures. The car is protected with a Thatcham 1 alarm system.
