About Suzuki & The Motability Scheme

across Hampshire & Dorset

The Motability Scheme is a UK-registered charity that provides motorists with a disability access to brand-new vehicles in order to stay mobile. Suzuki is a supporter of the scheme, and Snows Suzuki in Basingstoke & Poole are delighted to make the range of Motability vehicles available to our Southern customers.

Which scheme is for me?

Choose from three payment options:

Nil Advance Payment

Pay nothing up front – simply arrange with your local Suzuki Motability Dealer to transfer your mobility allowance to the Motability scheme. And, as the government pays your allowance directly to Motability, there’s no credit checks or assessments needed.

Advance Payment

For more expensive cars, your mobility allowance may not be enough to cover the cost of the three-year contract hire period. In this case, you can choose to make a one-off advance payment to cover the difference. These are paid to your Suzuki Motability Dealer and are non-refundable.

Lease for Less:

If the monthly cost of the car is less than your disability living allowance or personal independence payment, you’ll receive the cashback to spend as you please. It could come in handy to cover fuel costs.

Do I qualify?

If you or the person you’re caring for receive any of these allowances, you could qualify to join the Motability scheme:

Higher Rate Mobility Component of Disability Living Allowance (DLA)
Enhanced Rate of the Mobility Component of Personal Independence Payment (PIP)
War Pensioners’ Mobility Supplement (WPMS)
Armed Forces Independence Payment (AFIP)

Please note that you must have at least 12 months of benefit payments remaining in order to fully qualify.

Remember, if you do qualify for the Motability Scheme, you don't have to be able to drive yourself! As previously mentioned, you could have a parent, carer or family member insured for you.

How do I sign up?

Signing up is easy – once you’ve decided on the Suzuki for you, contact your local Suzuki Motability Dealer to arrange a test drive. Simply bring with you:

Both parts of your driving licence (to take a test drive)
Certificate of entitlement from either DWP or SPVA
Proof of address (e.g. a recent utility bill or bank statement).
