WLTP aims to be more representative of real world driving conditions. As a result, most cars will change Vehicle Excise Duty (VED) road tax bands. This can impact the On-The-Road (OTR) price from 1st April 2020 and Benefi t In Kind for company car drivers from 6th April 2020.
VED is an annual tax for registered vehicles in the UK. The fi rst-year of road tax is included in a car’s On-the-Road (OTR) price and is based on its carbon dioxide emissions (CO2). The new CO2 values from 1st April 2020* will aff ect VED in the vehicle price build. The list price (P11D) is not aff ected by this change.
For cars that have a list price of £40,000 or more, the government will charge a supplementary £320 road tax on the second year of taxation for a duration of 5 years. Due to the CO2 changes from 1st April 2020, most models will fall into a diff erent VED band.
To find out the revised CO2 values of your preferred model and grade derivative, please speak to your local Toyota Centre.
Figures are provided for comparability purposes; only compare fuel consumption and CO2 figures with other cars tested to the same technical procedures. These figures may not reflect real life driving results. All vehicles are certified according to the World Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP). CO2 figures (and hence car tax and recommended 'on the road' prices) may diff er from information printed before 1 April 2020, due to a change in the official method of calculation. This date may change, please visit www.vehicle-certification-agency.gov.uk/fcb/wltp.asp for the latest information. For details of your preferred model and grade derivative, please contact your local Toyota Centre.
