Mission accomplished! Snows Motor Group hits £60,000 fundraising target in landmark year.

Snows Motor Group is donating an incredible £60,000 to six hard-working charities, after a hugely successful, year-long fund-raising campaign.

The enormous sum was raised during 2022, Snows’ 60th anniversary year, in an initiative entitled ‘Mission 60’. It involved colleagues from the company’s network of dealerships, service centres and back office operations across the south and south-west of England.

At the end of the exercise, and thanks to the incredible efforts of more than 300 members of staff, the fund-raising mission has most definitely been accomplished! Colleagues undertook a variety of weird and wonderful activities to keep the momentum going.

More than 30 events took place, including two football matches; 12 abseils; two skydives; five trekking events; a quiz; a headshave; and many, many more!

The campaign was the brainchild of Olivia Snow, Customer Experience Manager at Snows Motor Group.

Olivia said: ‘‘We decided to set ourselves an ambitious fund-raising target because we felt that in our 60th year, it was important to do something to raise money for causes our people care about and the communities we serve.

‘‘To enable us to reach our £60,000 target, we challenged all our employees to raise just £60 each, however they wanted to, and have some fun along the way. The six deserving charities that will benefit were chosen after a vote involving everyone in the company.

‘‘The work each one carries out is absolutely vital, and with the charity sector having faced tough times over the last couple of years, every penny really does count. Thank you to everyone who has supported our fund-raising activities during 2022 – we couldn’t have done it without you!’’

The money will be divided between the following six deserving causes:

· Second Chance Animal Rescue, based in south Hampshire;

· Jeremiah’s Journey, Plymouth’s child bereavement charity;

· Children’s Hospice South West, which runs three children’s hospices in the south west of England;

· The Rowans Hospice, Waterlooville;

· Naomi House & Jacksplace – hospices for children and young adults;

· Wessex Cancer Trust, which offers free emotional and wellbeing support for people living with cancer, and their loved ones.
