A young football fan enjoyed a day he will never forget recently, thanks to the generosity of a Snows Group car dealership in Devon.
Eleven-year-old Daniel Cook was a mascot at an exciting Plymouth Argyle game – and had the time of his life with other young mascots and star players from the promotion-chasing League One side.
His dream came true thanks to the kindness of bosses at Snows Toyota Plymouth – and he recently dropped in to the dealership (wearing a Plymouth Argyle replica shirt of course!) to say thank you.
Daniel’s big day came about because Snows Toyota Plymouth is a supporter of the Argyle Community Trust, the official charity partner of Plymouth Argyle Football Club. Last year, Snows presented the Trust with a cheque for £1,800 to support its invaluable work.
The Trust works with a wide range of groups and organisations to help people improve their life chances and fulfil their potential.
It’s a key partner in a scheme called ‘Fit and Fed’, which gives children the chance to have fun outdoors, make new friends and enjoy healthy packed lunches during the school holidays.
Daniel has been a keen member of the scheme and as an enthusiastic Argyle fan, was specially selected to carry out mascot duties at the club’s Home Park stadium.
His day out included a tour of the ground, a pre-match warm-up with the players and the chance to take part in a thrilling half-time shoot-out. He was also presented with a special certificate to mark the occasion.
The icing on the cake was that Plymouth Argyle beat South Coast rivals Portsmouth 3-1!
