The Vivaro Electric is the pure-electric version of Vauxhall’s medium-size panel van and can be selected in one of two lengths (L1 or L2). There’s also an L1 Platform Cab form variant, allowing you to further tailor the Vivaro Electric to your particular business needs. Whichever panel-van version you choose, it’ll afford easy access to its load bay, thanks to nearside and offside sliding doors and twin doors at the rear.
A range of exterior colours are available, including the rather smart Kaolin White, which is supplied at no extra cost. Optional tones include Pearl Black and Quartz Silver – and vivid Golden Yellow, Flame Red and Power Blue paint finishes.
With the Vivaro Electric, there’s no reason not to mix business with pleasure – and by pleasure, we’re talking about the audio kind. The van is provided with a four-speaker stereo that offers the aural delights of DAB digital radio and an AM/FM tuner. USB connection is included too – as is Bluetooth, which means you can stream your favourite tunes while enjoying hands-free phone communication. Another standard-issue feature is Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, which allows you to mirror your smartphone via the Vivaro Electric’s seven-inch touchscreen.
If you require satellite navigation, Vauxhall’s Navi Pro infotainment package is available as an option. It features 2D/3D mapping (including European coverage), point-of-interest searches and more. It also adds six more loudspeakers.
Serene, efficient and environmentally friendly
Bid farewell to noisy vans with the Vauxhall Vivaro Electric, which delivers a delightfully quiet and refined in-cab experience. It comes with three drive modes too (Normal, ECO and Power), each initiated with a single press of a button. Normal is ideal for everyday driving while ECO minimises acceleration capacity, thus offering greater efficiency – and Power is perfect whenever you require maximum output. The Vivaro Electric is an excellent option for eco-friendly businesses who also wish to enjoy the benefits of affordable motoring. The van is available with a choice of 50kWh and 75kWh drivetrains, each paired with automatic fixed-gear transmission and each producing 134bhp and 260Nm of torque. The 50kWh unit delivers optimal acceleration: 0-62mph in roughly 13.2 seconds.
Plenty of protection
The Vivaro Electric provides airbags for both driver and co-passenger, and features a deactivation option should circumstances dictate. A full-height steel bulkhead constitutes a formidable barrier, offering full protection to travellers from whatever items are carried in the load bay. A wide range of driver aids are included as standard. For instance, Hill-start Assist ensures that rear brake pressure lasts long enough to prevent the vehicle rolling backwards or forwards when the engine is started on an incline. Several other braking technologies are installed, such as four-channel Anti-lock Braking System, which allows the driver to maintain full steering control by preventing the wheels from locking-up.
