What is included in a Polestar over-the-air update?

Polestar is always trying to advance its vehicles to ensure its drivers are getting the best quality and experience possible. Polestar's over-the-air software updates were introduced to improve their vehicles without bringing an inconvenience of booking a service appointment around its drivers' busy schedules.

Each software update may be different, but features will include bug fixes, stability improvements, optimisations to the car's navigation and infotainment system, other comfort and convenience functionality, and charging and driving improvement features.

What does the car need to update?

To be able to download and install a Polestar over-the-air update, the car needs to be connected to the internet, have at least 40% charge, and the doors need to be closed and locked. You cannot drive while a software update is in progress.

Installation may take up to 90 minutes to complete, so please bear that in mind when you schedule a software update.
