Snows gives Saints fans an ‘electric’ night at St Mary’s

Loyal Saints fan George Adams had even more reason to celebrate the team’s 2-1 win over Norwich City – he and his mum Louise were whisked to the game in one of Snows Motor Group’s new LEVC electric taxis, before being handed the company’s premium season ticket seats.

George, 23, from Portswood in Southampton, won the VIP experience after entering a competition on the Snows LEVC Facebook page.

Family-owned Snows recently became Hampshire’s first franchised LEVC dealer.

Snows LEVC, located at its Millbrook showroom in Southampton, sells the TX, the world’s most advanced purpose-built all-electric taxi.

LEVC is owned by the Chinese automotive company Geely, which also owns Volvo.

LEVC has seen a major demand for the TX model across the UK and Europe, with 3,000 sold since its launch in early 2018.

George, who recently graduated from Southampton Solent University with a degree in sport journalism, said: “My mum told me that she had entered a contest for premium tickets to see Saints play and told me to enter too. She also said that if I won I had to take her with me, so when I did she was over the moon.

“We enjoyed real five-star treatment, starting with being picked up by the electric taxi. It was really comfortable and was so quiet. It also had an amazing glass roof.

“We were taken to St Mary’s and had the Snows corporate seats, behind the manager Ralph Hasenhutti.

“The whole of my family are huge Saints fans and we go to every match, but we’ve never been able to see the pitch so clearly and in so much comfort.

“There were also drinks and delicious food included – much better than the burgers we usually eat in the stands!

“The whole night was amazing and to top it all off Saints won too, taking us out of the bottom three.”

After the match George and Louise were picked up again and chauffeured home in the TX electric taxi.

George said: “We want to thank Snows and their Chairman Stephen Snow for such a great experience. It was a real night to remember.”

Mark Austin, Snows Group Franchise Manager and head of Snows LEVC said: “We were delighted to provide one of our TX models to chauffeur George and Louise to and from the game and we are so pleased that they found their ride so comfortable.

“Drivers and fleet owners are telling us that they enjoy its clever eCity technology, which combines 80 miles of zero-emissions pure electric range with the flexibility of a total electrically driven range of 377 miles - made possible thanks to the on-board range-extender.”

Snows Chairman Stephen Snow, said: “It was a pleasure to hand over our premium season tickets to two people who like Snows, appreciate great vehicles and a great football team.”

Snows is the AM100 2019’s 46th-placed franchise retail group by turnover – with revenues of £370m achieved in 2018.

The company now operates 51 dealerships from 29 locations across southern England.
