Different charging solutions

Below, we got through each electric charging option, so can have a better understanding about the options available and choose which is best for you. Please note that charging times may depend on the make, model of the car, battery size and the exterior temperatures. Therefore, please use this as a guidance purpose only.

Three-Point Power Source - Slow Option

As the name suggests, it’s the slowest option. That said, it’s also very convenient because charging can take place overnight.

However, it’s not recommended that owners leave their cars in a three-pin charging state for an extended period of time because this will lead to accelerated battery deterioration. Please check with the relevant car manufacturer for further details.

Slightly quicker home-charging options are available in the form of a dedicated charging unit with, for instance, a 3.6kW wallbox.

Wall Box - Fast Chargers

Home charging is one of the most accessible and easiest electric charging options. There are multiple home wall box suppliers on the market, which allow you to install an electric charger into your home, allowing you to charge when you need it. Whether you choose to charge during the night or while you are working, the home wall box is your easy companion to ensure your Leapmotor is ready for your next journey.

Home wall boxes are typically 3 kWh or 7 kWh and take around 2-5 hours to charge your Leapmotor to fully charge, depending on your model and other conditions around it.

Public Charging Station - Rapid Chargers

Public charging stations come in two types: fast and rapid chargers.

Fast chargers, or may also be known as en-route charge points, are found in areas you would see them in your daily routine. From supermarkets, restaurants, fast-food, to gym car parks, there are fast charging stations placed across the country. These charging stations can charge your Leapmotor in a few hours, making them ideal when you are meeting friends or family, working or doing your weekly shop.

Rapid chargers, or may also be known as destination charge points, are found on motorway service stations or some select car parks. These charging stations can charge your Leapmotor in as little as 30 minutes, depending on your model and other conditions.
