The benefits of electric and hybrid driving

Going electric doesn’t only provide benefits to the environment. Alongside helping to reduce air and noise pollution, electric and hybrid vehicles also offer lower running costs and reduced maintenance costs, thanks to fewer moving parts under the bonnet. An additional advantage is the instant torque that’s produced by the electric motor, which makes acceleration swifter. Never before has such as smooth, quiet drive been so accessible.

Economy, Charging & Batteries

Our Lexus models offer a range of options for those looking to go electric. With one of the largest line-ups of hybrid vehicle available, Lexus is a frontrunner in self-charging cars, offering SUVs such as the UX and NX, saloons like the ES and LS, and even the LC sports car in hybrid form. These models are charged by the engine, so there’s no need to plug in.

The all-electric UX 300e can be charged at any public charge point, or with a home wall box. Up to 196 miles of driving range is available, and the model charges in just over eight hours with a 6.6kW wall box, or from 0-80% in just 53 minutes using a rapid DC point.

The NX plug-in hybrid (PHEV) offers a zero-emissions range of up to 40 miles, and can be charged in under three hours using a home wall box.
