The Ultimate Snolympics: A Celebration of Team Spirit at Snows Toyota

At Snows Toyota, we believe that teamwork and a strong sense of community are keys to success. To reinforce these values and have a bit of fun along the way, we recently organised an exciting in-house Olympics tournament- the Snolympic games. As Toyota have been sponsors of the Olympics since 2015, it felt only right to extend the games during the build up to the Paralympics and host our own Snolympics! Which country do you think took home the torch and was crowned our Snolympic champion?

This event spanned over one week and included our 11 dealerships across the South, bringing together our dedicated colleagues for a series of competitive, yet friendly, games. Each dealership was assigned a country and encouraged to transform their dealership with vibrant colours and significant cultural markers. From paper aeroplanes to table tennis, and from basketball to golf, the Snows Toyota Olympics was a memorable event that showcased our team’s creativity, solidarity and competitive spirit.

The Games: From Paper Aeroplanes to Precise Golf

Paper Aeroplane Challenge: This event was all about aerodynamics and design. Each participant had to fold their best paper aeroplane and see whose design could fly the furthest. It was fascinating to see the variety of designs and the creative approaches our team took. Some were sleek and streamlined, while others relied on innovative folds and flaps for maximum flight distance.

Table Tennis Tournament: Our dealerships took part in intense table tennis matches, filled with impressive rallies, showcasing both the competitive spirit and sportsmanship that we value at Snows Toyota. The rest of the world, represented by the Snolympic committee, gave each country a run for its money taking home the gold in numerous tournaments!

Red Cup Stacking: Precision and speed were key in this event. Competitors had to stack and unstack red cups in the shape of a pyramid as quickly as possible. As participants raced against the clock and each other in this fun and fast-paced challenge, it was Olivia Snow, brand manager of Snows Toyota, who successful stacked and unstacked the red cups in an impressive 16 seconds!

Basketball Shootout: Accuracy was put to the test in the basketball shootout, where participants had to score as many baskets as possible within 90 seconds. The competition was fierce, with many dealerships neck and neck until the final buzzer. It was a true test of focus and consistency under pressure.

Hole in One: The final event was a test of precision and patience, as participants tried their hand at putting as many golf balls as possible within 3 minutes. Each dealership worked as a team and it was fantastic to see the players remarkable skills and determination.

A Culinary Journey Across the Globe:

The Snows Toyota Olympics wasn’t just about games; it was also a celebration of the diverse cultural backgrounds across the Globe. Each dealership was tasked with preparing food from their respective countries, transforming the event into a culinary journey around the world. Snows Toyota Waterlooville, representing Japan, wowed us with an authentic Japanese spread including sushi and katsu curry! It was delicious. Over in Italy, represented by Snows Toyota Honiton, the committee were impressed with a charcuterie board, freshly baked pizza, homemade bruschetta and rich tiramisu for dessert! The attention to detail in both flavour and presentation was impeccable. When heading to Brazil, we were treated to a huge feast with mocktails, homemade Brazilian chocolates, fruit bowls and giant hot dogs! The bold flavours and vibrant colours of the dishes perfectly matched the energy of the day.  Flags, traditional attire, and themed décor created an immersive experience that allowed everyone, including our customers, to appreciate the diversity within our Snows Toyota family.

Celebrating the Winners and the Spirit of Participation

At the end of the day, the Snows Toyota Olympics was about more than just winning. It was an opportunity for our teams to connect, have fun and showcase the incredible talents and cultures that make our company unique. Of course, we did crown winners for each event and awarded medals to the top-performing dealerships, but the real victory was the camaraderie and team spirit that shone through. The Snows Toyota Olympics was a resounding success, leaving everyone excited for what’s to come in 2028. Whether it’s breaking records in paper aeroplane distance or creating the perfect mini-golf team, we know our colleagues at Snows Toyota will bring the same energy, creativity, and passion to the next event. Here’s to the spirit of friendly competition, the joy of shared experiences and the power of teamwork that drives us forward every day at Snows Toyota!

We would like to congratulate Brazil, represented by Snows Toyota Southampton for being the overall winner of the Snolympics! We would further like to thank Matthew Clewes for organising such a successful event and bringing our 11 dealerships together.

Roll on the next Snolympic Games!
