The Vauxhall Astra is provided with all the passive protective features and driving assistance you need to make each journey as safe and stress-free as possible. For example, airbags are available for both driver and co-passenger, while further airbags are installed in front seat side and curtain positions. The most precious cargo of all is easily and safely secured thanks to the inclusion of ISOFIX fixtures on outer rear positions.
Driver aids include Speed Sign Recognition which analyses speed-limit signage, adjusting the Astra’s speed accordingly. If you find parking to be a problem, don’t worry because front and rear-mounted sensors are in place, detecting the presence of objects in front of and behind the car. Other standard-issues features include Lane-departure Warning and Lane-keep Assist, which alert you if the car drifts out of lane – while gently nudging it back into position.
