Faster Throttle Response

The engine and gearbox have been calibrated to provide faster responses when the driver suddenly lifts off the throttle, providing improved predictability and control.

Improved Gearshift Speed

The gear shift speed has been increased to allow the car to accelerate faster and react more directly to driver input.

Better Precision & Hold

The gears have been calibrated to exploit the engine's improved performance. The gearbox also avoids changes when cornering at high g-forces (where possible) for better stability.

Faster Gear & Engine Response

The engine and gearbox have been calibrated to respond more quickly when you release the accelerator. This provides a range of benefits, such as car will feel more balanced and predictable when cornering. 

​Increased Engine Performance

​The power has been focused on the midrange, which helps with overtaking or when on busy motorways. Combining a faster throttle response and gear changes, the car should feel significantly more dynamic when driving. ​

​Polestar AWD Feature

Can retrospectively be added to vehicles which currently have the optimisation via the Service Promise, Total Upgrade or Volvo Selekt Software. This upgrade increases torque distribution to the rear wheels of Volvo cars equipped with all-wheel drive (AWD), for a more dynamic driving feel. ​
