Alfa Romeo will be celebrating 100 years of its Quadrifoglio models at this year’s Concours on Savile Row, one of the UK’s most stylish motoring events. Taking place on the iconic tailoring street in central London, Concours on Savile Row will host a celebration showcasing the style and synergy of the automotive and fashion worlds.

As a participant in this year’s Concours on Savile Row, Alfa Romeo will display its new, limited edition Giulia Quadrifoglio 100th Anniversario model. Revealed earlier this year, only 100 models will be available to buy to mark the centenary of the Italian brand’s legendary emblem.

The Giulia Quadrifoglio 100th Anniversario editions feature a 2.9-litre Bi-Turbo V6 engine enhanced to 520hp. Combined with a mechanical self-locking differential, with tuning derived from the development of the Giulia GTA, it improves the car's behaviour and traction, optimising torque transfer, while increasing stability, agility and cornering speeds. The use of ultra-light materials such as carbonfibre for the driveshaft, bonnet, spoiler and side skirts, as well as an all-aluminium engine further enhance performance, while the Giulia features a carbonfibre front splitter that actively channels the airflow under the car.

A choice of three colours is available: Rossa Etna, Verde Montreal and Nero Vulcano, whilst the interior is bespoke to the limited edition models. Black Alcantara leather contrasts golden stitching and innovative 3D-effect carbonfibre trim for the instrument panel, the central tunnel and the door panels. On the dashboard, the number ‘100’ is stitched in gold next to a golden Quadrifoglio. The steering wheel is upholstered in leather and Alcantara, with black stitching and carbonfibre inserts.

Alfa Romeo will be partnering with Savile Row shoemaker Gaziano & Girling for the duration of the Concours event. Gaziano & Girling’s flagship store opened on Savile Row in 2014, and they have since become one of the most prestigious spaces on the street, offering a range of bespoke footwear meticulously designed and created by their team. Whilst Gaziano & Girling is a British brand, their work is heavily influenced by the Italian heritage of co-founder Tony Gaziano.

The Gaziano & Girling Savile Row store will be open to host visitors keen to find out more about the shoe maker’s synergy with Alfa Romeo, and the limited edition Quadrifoglio 100th Anniversario editions on display throughout the event. Gaziano & Girling will also unveil a unique Alfa Romeo-inspired footwear design, created by designers from the tailor as a celebration of 100 years of the Quadrifoglio.

The iconic four-leaf clover Quadrifoglio badge made its debut on the RL of Ugo Sivocci in the 1923 Targa Florio. Sivocci painted the emblem onto the front of his car for good luck which lead to great success, securing a victory for Alfa Romeo and forever linking the symbol of the Quadrifoglio to the brand as it would go on to multiple wins in the Targa Florio, Mille Miglia and at Le Mans. The badge soon made its way over to Alfa Romeo road cars, making its first appearance on the Giulia TI Super in 1963 and launched a tradition which continues today.
