To celebrate its sponsorship of Guildford Cricket Club this season, Snows Kia has filmed a ‘carpool’ test drive with its new Senior Head Coach, former England International and Surrey County Cricketer Jade Dernbach, in the Kia EV6.
Snows picked up Dernbach from the Guildford Pavilion, where he takes the reins as Coach this summer.
During the interview the former England and Italy star shares some of his cricketing career highlights, including winning the County Championship with Surrey in 2018, as well as his thoughts on the EV6, WhatCar’s Car of the Year 2022.
Jade said: “I moved to Guildford Cricket Club at 15. It was my first proper club and I spent all my formative years here before being contracted to Surrey where I spent 17 years. So, it feels right to be back here in Guildford, giving back by adding some value to the playing squads - hopefully helping another Jade Dernbach pass through the ranks and helping Guildford to push for promotion and regain our rightful place in the Prem.”
Asked for his thoughts on the Kia EV6 he said: “I’ve been looking at EV models for a while now and I’ve been very impressed today by the great look of the Kia, its technology and of course its 328-mile range. It’s got a really futuristic interior and driving around Guildford it’s been incredibly smooth. It’s definitely poked my interest.”
Snows chairman and CEO Stephen Snow, said: “Snows prides itself on being rooted in the communities it covers and we feel privileged to be able to sponsor Guildford Cricket Club as it embarks on a new season under the extremely talented Jade Dernbach.”
