The Toyota GB 'Fund for a Better Tomorrow' Scheme has been developed over the years to help Toyota franchised dealerships provide small grants designed to help local charities, schools and community projects.
Snows Toyota Exeter have proudly dedicated our grant of £1,500 to help the local school community.
We heard that the staff at Orchard Manor School, in Exeter, have started a project to build a mountain bike track on site for the pupils to enjoy, which sounded like an excellent activity to get involved with! This outdoor track is a significant development for the residential school, with students aged between 3 and 19, to help their main aim of creating a happy, secure and stimulating environment that promotes students health, welfare and well-being.
Executive Principal, Mark Rose, explains: "We are over the moon to have received funding from the Toyota Fund for a Better Tomorrow to help us build a mountain bike track on our school site. With this generous support, we will be able to provide our pupils with an amazing facility on which to practice their basic mountain bike skills or further develop the skills to undertake more challenging off-road terrain. Our pupils excitement is shared by the community group who use our site at weekends. We would like to thank Toyota and Snows Toyota Exeter for their support in helping us to make this project possible. We can't wait to see our pupils enjoying the track and look forward to sharing the benefit that our pupils will gain from using it."
