Snows is celebrating a double success this year, with Snows Kia Guildford and Snows Kia Newbury both receiving ‘Highly Commended’ recognition in the EV Excellence category at the 2025 Kia Dealer Excellence Awards. The honours were announced at Kia’s National Dealer Conference in Liverpool on Tuesday 13 January.
This recognition reflects the work both dealerships have undertaken to guide customers through the transition to electric driving—an area in which Snows continues to invest, innovate, and lead across the South of England.
Throughout 2025, Snows Kia Newbury and Snows Kia Guildford played a key role in supporting the rapid growth of Kia’s fully electric line‑up. The momentum was led by the hugely successful EV3, which completed its first full year on sale and quickly became one of the UK’s top three best‑selling retail EVs with 5,343 retail registrations (11,188 units in total).
The teams in Guildford and Newbury have been instrumental in helping customers understand the benefits of going electric—through expert guidance, hands‑on product knowledge and a consistently customer‑first approach.
Kia UK President & CEO Paul Philpott said:
“Congratulations to the teams at Snows Kia Guildford and Snows Kia Newbury for their outstanding leadership in electric vehicle sales. Their expertise and commitment have earned this year’s ‘EV Excellence’ Highly Commended awards. With electric vehicles now central to Kia’s business, this achievement is hugely significant.”
More than 1,000 delegates attended the National Dealer Conference, which opened with the theme ‘Shaping Our Future’, reflecting Kia’s continuing transformation and another record‑breaking year in the UK.
Kia’s Dealer Excellence Awards recognise the highest‑performing retailers among 190 dealerships nationwide. The EV Excellence category, now in its second year, acknowledges the growing importance of EV expertise alongside Sales, After Sales, and Customer Experience awards.
Each category features one overall winner plus up to nine ‘Highly Commended’ retailers—placing both Snows Kia Guildford and Snows Kia Newbury firmly among the top EV performers in the country.
Kia closed 2025 as the fourth most popular car brand in the UK, securing a 5.6% market share and registering 113,436 units. The brand continued to expand its model range with updates to the Sportage, Stonic and EV6 GT, while also introducing the EV4, EV5, EV9 GT, K4, and the new PV5 electric commercial vehicle.
The year also saw major award wins, including the EV3 receiving 2025 World Car of the Year and 2025 UK Car of the Year, while the PV5 collected the 2026 International Van of the Year title.
Looking ahead, Kia has already previewed the new EV2 at the Belgian Motor Show and is preparing for the UK arrival of the popular Seltos, along with new PV5 derivatives—solidifying what is expected to be another record‑setting year in 2026.
These ‘Highly Commended’ distinctions underline the dedication, product knowledge and customer care that define Snows Kia dealerships. As demand for electric vehicles continues to grow, Snows remains committed to delivering exceptional EV expertise, helping more customers make the move to electric with confidence.
