What is the Motability Scheme?

The Motability Scheme allows people with disabilities to exchange their qualifiying mobility allowance for a brand new vehicle.  It's designed to make driving or traveling easier, with a range of benefits like insurance, servicing, breakdown cover, and even adaptations included.​


Who is eligible for the Motability Scheme?

You may be eligible for the Motability Schem if you receive one of the following government allowances:

Higher Rate Mobility Component of the Disability Living Allowance (HMRC DLA) - Currently £71.00 per week

Enhanced Rate of the Mobility Component of the Personal Independence Payment (ERMC PIP) - Currently £71.00 per week

War Pensioners' Mobility Supplement (WPMS) - Currently £76.90 per week

Armed Forces Independence Payment (AFIP) - Includes a mobility allowance.

What if you don't drive?​

Even if you're not a driver, the Motability Scheme allows you to nominate drivers, such as family member or carer, to ensure you can still benefit from a vehicle tailored to your needs.
