You need to receive one of the following qualifying mobility allowances, with at least 12 months left to join the Motability scheme:
Personal Independence Payment (PIP) is an allowance that helps with extra living costs for those who have a long-term physical or mental health condition or disability and have difficulty doing certain everyday tasks or getting around because of your condition. You can get PIP if you are working, have savings or are getting most other benefits.
Disability Living Allowance (DLA) is money for people who have extra care needs or mobility needs as a result of a disability. There are two parts: the care component and the mobility component. However, the DLA will be replaced by other benefits, and if you already get DLA, your claim might end soon.
AFIP stands for Armed Forces Independence Payment. It's a tax-free financial benefit for service personnel and veterans who were injured on or after the 6th April 2005. The payment is designed to help cover extra costs associated with service-related injuries. You cannot claim AFIP if you are already receiving PIP or ADP.
WPMS stands for War Pensioners' Mobility Supplement to help veterans with extra mobility costs due to a service-related disability.
