Since joining the team at Snows Kia back in September 2015, Dave Weston has reached leaps and bounds in his career - achieving truly remarkable accomplishments with the ambition to succeed even further.
In 2016, we reported that Dave Weston had achieved his Master Technician status in just under a year - something that no member of staff had managed to do before. This was an incredible honour to be collected, and yet Dave still felt "there's always room for improvement" as he hoped to progress in his job role even further by applying for Top Technician.
We are now extremely pleased to announce that Dave Weston has recently been recognised as one of the top ten technicians in the UK, and has reached the semi-finals of Top Technician 2018. He has shown great determination to improve and expand his knowledge over the past few years, which has resulted in Dave being noticed as simply, one of the best. Top Technician tests the skills and abilities of UK technicians, consiting of a series of online tests and multiple-choice questions to narrow down the highest scoring contenders.
During his career, Dave has completed four courses (Expert levels 1-4), each with an online assessment which requires a 70% pass rate, while also developing his knowledge of hybrid models and the Kia brand as a whole. He has now been rewarded with the opportunity to show his strengths, competing against some of the finest in the field at the Top Technician semi-finals.
We wish Dave all the best going forward and have no doubts that he will continue to do us proud. The final of the Top Technician with be held on 23rd June at the Brampton Heath Gold Club, Northampton for a special Gala Dinner and award evening, where the winners will officially be announced.
