Sunday 10th June 2018 was a day filled with speed, excitement and most importantly, environmentally friendly racing!
For the second year running, Snows BMW joined Greenpower Education Trust at the renowned Goodwood Motor Circuit in West Sussex, to celebrate smart vehicle engineering in true motorsport fashion. The two models from the BMW i range - the BMW i8 and BMW i3 - led the first race to be hosted by Greenpower, as a whole rally of electric powered racers took off for the win.
We were extremely proud to be a part of this thrilling event at Goodwood, and thrilled to see such a fantastic turn out! The race allowed up to 80 participating teams consisting of 10 to 20 students aged between 9 and 25. Parents were welcome to attend and observe the action on the track - making it a fun day for all the family to get involved in.
We even saw the Duke of Richmond, Charles Gordon-Lennox, come down to admire the cars and encourage the drivers with his grandson, who even at the age of 1, managed to identify the BMW badge after pointing to the car and saying "BMW!".
Thank you to everyone who came down and took part in this exhilarating race day, and well done to all the racers who showed their speed on the Goodwood racing track. We hope that everyone enjoyed the day as much as we did.
