The highly anticipated WhatCar? Car of the Year awards kicked off on the 23rd January 2018 (in association with Warranty Direct) in celebration of its 40th anniversary.
The first ever WhatCar? award ceremony took place back in 1978, where some of the most popular cars on the market were celebrated. Back in the day, the Renault 20 TS was crowned the overall winner at the awards, marking what has now become a renowned and significant honor for the automotive industry.
