Hope House launch their revamped shelter with a terrific end of project tea party

Staff at Snows BMW proudly celebrated the end of their Hope House project, at the launch of the revamped and refurbished homeless shelter in Portsmouth



This year, members of staff at Snows BMW began their project to help improve the services and environment of local homeless shelter, Hope House, in Portsmouth.

The team have been raising awareness for the shelter with their fantastic fundraising and charity work, which involved members of Snows staff 'sleeping under the stars' for a night in respect of the superb work done by Hope House. Our aim was to improve the surroundings of the shelter by refurbishing the furniture and re-painting the area. What's more, we also wanted to provide better and improved facilities for both staff and residents at Hope House, such as a chest freezer to hold food donations, more storage cupboards, improved seating areas and many more upgrades.

The end of project tea party was held on Friday 19th October 2018, where our Snows BMW Cafe Bar Manager, Claire Hopkins (pictured sat on the right with Lucy, a Hope House Manager, and residents at the shelter), attended the shelter to see the newly refurbished establishment. Claire explained: "A lot of positive things were said about the re-decoration of the room and the residents were over the moon with all my homemade cakes, I have even had to provide them with my shortbread recipe which they will bake together this week in cookery class, very flattering. The staff there really do have their work cut out and deserve a little boost like that, I was very happy and proud that we could provide that"

From all of us in the Snows BMW team, we wish Hope House all of the success in the future- their services are truly inspiring and beneficial to many of the residents who so desperately need the support provided at the shelter.
