The Commercial Fleet Awards, hosted by TV presenter Lisa Snowdon at the Hilton Metropole Birmingham, saw the PEUGEOT Expert win the ‘Medium Panel Van of the Year’ award.

“The van offers best-in-class payload and towing capacity with low emissions, which makes it a clear winner”, said the judges, a panel of Fleet industry experts chaired by former SMMT Chief Executive Christopher Macgowan OBE. They were in no doubt about what made the Expert stand out from the crowd, “high levels of specification with a wide range of options, easy to convert and packed with safety equipment, it offers an outstanding value for money package. Great all-rounder.”

Those high levels of specification include three trim options: S, Professional and Professional Plus. Every Expert van is equipped with a full steel bulkhead, unglazed rear doors, twin sliding side doors, remote central locking with deadlocks and separate locking for the cab, electronic stability control, fully adjustable driver’s seat, dual passenger bench seat with storage tray, cruise control with variable speed limiter, front electric windows, DAB radio, Bluetooth handsfree, USB and audio sockets and 12-volt power points in both the cabin and cargo area.

Rivals competing for the ‘Medium Panel Van of the Year’ award included the Ford Transit Custom, Mercedes-Benz Vito, Renault Trafic, Toyota Proace and VW Transporter.

Expert van is offered in three different lengths: Compact, Standard and Long, offering load floor lengths between 2,162mm and 2,862mm. This can be extended to between 3,324mm and 4,024mm with the Moduworkâ through loading option. Expert is also available as a crew van and platform cab for specialist conversions. Payload ranges from 1,099kg to 1,487kg for van models. The Expert is powered by a range of low-emission BlueHDi Euro-6 diesel engines offering power outputs from 95hp to 180hp.

The outgoing PEUGEOT Partner also caught the judges’ eyes, earning a highly commended in the ‘Small Van of the Year’ category. The all-new PEUGEOT Partner, voted International Van of the Year 2019, is available from a PEUGEOT Dealer or Business Centre now.
